So I have many friends in Kingston, "The Kingston Crew" as we, "The Ochi Crew" like to refer to them as (yeah original I know!) back to the point....well they like to poke fun of us and our simple life etc. And there are others from the city that simply have NO idea what life in the country is like and think it as DEATH that one has to live here year round!
So I've decided to highlight once a month - Why I love country living! Of course Ochi people don't think we're "country"... "country" isn't even a term we use! We use "Town" - Kingston, "Ochi" - Ocho Rios, "Bush" anywhere up in the hills, away from the coastline.
Advantages to Country Life #1: No Traffic/Rush Hour...to speak of
Yeah, we don't have to leave work and SIT in traffic for all of 1 or even 2 hours before we eventually get home...We don't have to go by a friend's house, a bar, the gym or stay at work late "until the traffic cool off"
We simply get in car and 5 - 30 mins later we're home! Ahhhhhh!
All we have to do is watch out for the occasional dog, goat, cow or pedestrian but we don't have to massage our calves because the leg getting tired from pressing brakes...worse if you drive a stick shift!!
Take THAT you townies! :P
